Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before talking to us

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?

In most cases, you can book a physiotherapy appointment directly without a GP referral. Some funding or compensation pathways may have different requirements.

What conditions can physiotherapy help with?

Physiotherapists assess and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including back and neck pain, joint and muscle problems, sporting injuries, sprains and strains, and rehabilitation following injury or surgery.

What happens at my first appointment?

Renee will discuss what's been happening, your symptoms and what you want to get back to doing. She'll then perform an appropriate assessment, explain her findings and discuss treatment and a management plan with you.

Do I have to stop exercising while I'm injured or in pain?

Not necessarily. What is appropriate depends on the injury and your individual circumstances. Renee can assess the problem and, where appropriate, help modify your activity while you recover.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and, where practical, allows Renee to assess the relevant area.

How many physio sessions will I need?

There isn't one number that applies to everyone. It depends on the condition, its severity, how long it has been present and your goals. Renee can discuss this with you after assessing you.

Can I see Renee for an old or recurring injury?

Yes. If an old problem keeps returning or is affecting your work, training or everyday activities, Renee can assess your current presentation and discuss appropriate management options.

Do you treat people who aren't athletes?

Absolutely. You don't need to be an athlete or gym-goer. Renee works with people who simply want to move more comfortably and get back to everyday activities.

Where are you located?

Renee is based in Bibra Lake, Western Australia.

Do you work with veterans?

Yes. Veterans are welcome to book with Renee.

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • Pain or stiffness is stopping you from doing the things you enjoy?

  • An old injury keeps flaring up no matter how much you rest it?

  • You’re avoiding training, work or everyday activities because you’re worried about making it worse?

About us

Hey, I'm Renee

Built on Experience. Focused on Service

Meet Renee Mann, Perth physiotherapist treating everyday injuries, sports, and rehab — with a specialist interest in women's health, pregnancy and postnatal care.

Hi, I'm Renee Mann — physiotherapist and the founder of Becoming You Physiotherapy. I treat people at every stage of life, from sports injuries and back pain to post-surgical rehab, alongside a special interest in women's health, pregnancy and postnatal recovery.

I started this clinic because good physio care shouldn't feel rushed or one-size-fits-all. Every person who walks through the door gets a proper assessment, a clear plan, and treatment that's actually tailored to their body and their goals.
